Rougher Week than last week

Hi,

Well my crummy cold/flu caused me to visit the ER Sunday. My doctor thought I had pneumonia! I was lucky - it was only bronchitis. This whole week I've been on meds, had a reaction to the meds, mostly stayed in bed and ate what was fed to me. Thus, I picked up a couple of pounds that I lost. I am finally starting to feel better except for my cough. Hopefully by Sunday I should be able to get back to preparing meals myself and getting back to exercising. I do plan to be weighed tomorrow. Rough week

This was one tough week.
Sunday: Chinese New Year/a Birthday Party
            The hostess did not have too many healthy foods to choose from.
            Thank heavens I took a low fat broccoli salad. I broke down and had 2 cupcakes. I took off the frosting on both!
Tuesday: Mardi Gras: Pawckis yikes fattening. I ate an apple one.
Ash Wednesday: Didn't eat much at all
Thursday had flu like symptoms. Fed a fever, starve a cold???
Today:  Full blown cold. Soups and liquids.

It will get better. The scale was going down and was doing well with non scale achievements. Now I need to regroup. Tomorrow I can start over. Next week, jean

Week 3


I almost forgot to blog again. I'm still keeping track of all the food and calories that I eat.
This week I've increased my walking and followed a Dr Oz "You on a Diet" DVD.
Thanks for the heads up on Jaime Brenkus being on Dr Oz. I did watch the show. I've not tried the
exercises he suggested yet but I hope to incorporate it next week when I'm a little more limber.

My hobby of card crafting has helped me keep my mind off food and I have learned more in one week
than I did in 3 months.

Geo, God bless him, is my best helper reminding my to exercise and blog. Again, thanks Sweetheart.
I will really need to find a wonderful Valentine gift for you. Talk with you next week. jet

Week 2

I am really late with my blog. First of all I'm am not a good blogger - this is new to me.
Next, I have had one busy week. I'm keeping track of all the food and calories that I eat.
This way I stay in my limits. I've been reading about modifying behaviors and hope that
this is going to be a permanent way of life not just another yo-yo attempt at losing weight.

I have been working on Jaime Brenkus' Get Lean in 15. I've also found another book that
I love "Sink Reflections". My house is cluttered and messy and this is hopefully another was
of trimming down.

So with all my 'new' endeavors, I hope I'm not biting off more than I can chew. To stay relaxed
I'm trying to work on my hobby of crafting a few days a week too!

Life is full but that is great. My best friend, Geo, is helping me stay focused. Thanks Sweetheart.
